Sarà Borg/McEnroe, il film sulla storica rivalità tennistica, ad aprire il Toronto International Film Festival 2017.

Diretto da Janus Metz, il film vede protagonisti Shia LaBeouf nei panni di McEnroe e Svennir Gudnason in quelli di Borg. Nel cast anche Stellan Skarsgard.

Ricordiamo che il festival si terrà dal 7 al 17 settembre e fra i nomi di punta ci sono: Joe Wright(Darkest Hour), Angelina Jolie (First They Killed My Father), Darren Aronofsky (mother!), George Clooney(Suburbicon) e Alexander Payne (Downsizing, film d’apertura a Venezia). Presente anche Guillermo Del Toro con The Shape of Water.
