La National Board of Review è un’organizzazione composta da accademici, filmmakers e appassionati che ogni anno premia i migliori film e interpretazioni dell’anno. Quest’anno il premio più ambito è andato a Da 5 Bloods di Spike Lee, che si è anche aggiudicato il premio come miglior regista.

Tra gli attori, premiati Riz Ahmed (Sound of Metal) e Carey Mulligan (Promising Young Woman).

Questi premi sono da tenere d’occhio anche in vista degli premi Oscar: nel 2019 fu premiato Green Book che poi trionfò anche gli Oscar mentre l’anno scorso vinse The Irishman che poi ricevette dieci candidature nei premi più ambiti di Hollywood.
