La notte degli Oscar si fa sempre più vicina: nell'attesa, ripercorriamo insieme tutte le nomination ai 93° Academy Awards.
Tra i film più favoriti spicca senza dubbio Nomadland di Chloé Zhao, candidata anche per la migliore regia. A "farle guerra" in questa categoria David Fincher, Thomas Vitenberg, Lee Isaac Chung e Emerald Fennell, al suo esordio con Promising Young Woman (per la prima volta nella storia dell'Academy abbiamo due donne candidate come migliore regista).
A sorpresa, in testa alla lista candidature troviamo Mank di David Fincher, in gara in ben 10 categorie. Molto apprezzata da pubblico e critica, l'ultima fatica di Fincher ha trascorso la stagione dei premi un po' nell'ombra: è giunto il momento della rivalsa? Tra i candidati come migliore attore protagonista, invece, abbiamo Chadwick Boseman, recentemente scomparso: è probabile gli verrà attribuito l'Oscar postumo per la sua interpretazione in Ma Rainey's Black Bottom.
Per quanto riguarda l'Italia, invece, troviamo Pinocchio di Matteo Garrone candidato per i Migliori Costumi e il Miglior Trucco e Parrucco e Laura Pausini tra i nominati per la Migliore Canzone (Io sì, La vita davanti a sé, già vincitrice del Golden Globe).
